Outdoor Wedding Locations for Ceremonies in Newburgh, Indiana

As a wedding officiant and celebrant, I officiate many weddings outside. Since we are in the Bible Belt in Southwest, Indiana – most wedding ceremonies are performed in a church. So I’d love to discuss outdoor wedding locations in Newburgh, Indiana. I also officiate inside venues, but I’ll leave that for another blog post.

As a professional wedding planner, my other real job is to help couples find locations when they wish to get married in the great outdoors. It could be at their private estate, farm, or small backyard. Or a venue that allows an ideally procured wedding ceremony. Here’s my list for:

Outdoor Wedding Locations for Ceremonies in Newburgh, Indiana

1. Friedman Park
Located in Newburgh, Friedman Park offers a beautiful OUTDOOR spaces for weddings. The park features open fields, wooded areas, and scenic views that serves as a picturesque backdrop for your ceremony. On a more personal note, this venue wipes down their chairs for you after setting up and works with any type of formation that you want. Gosh I love that so much! And it’s located right outside their beautiful and brand new reception venue. It’s a win-win.

2. Rolling Hills Country Club
Rolling Hills Country Club is a golf course and country club that offers one main outdoor ceremony locations near their golf course. Surrounded by manicured lawns and mature trees, this venue can provide an elegant backdrop for your special day. The ceremony site is also conveniely located right outside the reception venue. I’ve had many weddings here and while they can be a little short staffed sometimes for the outdoor area, they deliver premium customer service for your reception.

3. Newburgh Riverfront – Allen Family Amphitheater
You’ll want to think outside the box for this, but if you’re having an outdoor wedding, you probably are already! Situated along the Ohio River, this amphitheater on Newburgh Riverfront provides a charming location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. I have not had a wedding there but I’ve seen some done. It’s quirky for sure, because it’s usually used for live music, but hey, why not check it out?

4. Angel Mounds State Historic Site
If you’re a couple that is into nature and a unique outdoor venue with historical significance, Angel Mounds State Historic Site might be a great choice. There is a variety of outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies, however, they may not be all conducive for your older wedding guests.

Remember I’m only describing outdoor places for wedding ceremonies, not ones inside in Newburgh, Indiana. Be sure to contact each venue directly to inquire about availability, pricing, and any specific requirements or restrictions they may have.
